About Maren Good

Maren GoodWelcome to my website, Scent and Sound Works. This site is all about Maren Good's work with scent and sound, and the fact that "scent and sound works!"

Please take a little time to enter this site and take a stroll through the world of Aromatherapy, Acutonics® Sound Healing, Planetary Gong Meditations and more. Come discover how they each work and how they complement one another. My explorations into the world of essential oils and sound healing for more than ten years continue to inform my product development and my work with sound healing and the amazing planetary gongs.

My Good Scents company product lines were initially created with the intent to simplify the experience of aromatherapy and essential oils. My goal has always been to make it inviting to bring aromatherapy into daily life and create opportunities to discover the value and excitement of making these oils a part of anyone's world. Over the past few years, inspired by the works of Masaru Emoto and studies of sacred geometry, I began harmonically tuning my essential oils blends; utilizing specific harmonic structures drawn from the Music of the Spheres. I have combined my knowledge of sound healing with the powerful world of essential oils. Using a selection of Paiste Planetary Gongs (of which I have 12), planetary hand chimes, singing bowls, as well as resonant crystals and minerals, all of my products are now sounded into harmonic resonance which even more deeply activates the intent of the essential oil creations. To learn more about the tuning of my essential oil blends, please click on this link.

This site would not be complete without a tribute to the Paiste Planetary Gongs. First and foremost, the gongs activate and invite. Anyone who has experienced a gong meditation with my husband, Michael (a gifted musician and recording engineer) and me for an equinox or solstice; attended one of the New Moon ceremonies at Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York City when we played our gongs; or attended various other venues which featured our gongs, knows firsthand their sonic call to remembrance and re-harmonization. We were privileged to be able to capture the magic of these gongs by recording them live at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York City, before CoSM relocated to Wappingers Fall, NY. Please click on this link to learn more about this amazing recording experience.

I also teach aromatherapy and sound healing. I am approved by NCBTMB to teach aromatherapy and the full Acutonics Sound Healing Certification Curriculum (Acutonics is also approved by NCCAOM). If you are interested in studying aromatherapy or sound healing, then explore the classes that I teach in both of these fields. These are exciting and rapidly growing areas of study that can expand your existing practice as well as be immediately incorporated into your current sessions... or it can be for your own growth and enrichment. As a nationally certified Reflexologist, I also offer integrated sessions that incorporate foot reflexology, aromatherapy and sound. Please read more about the benefits of reflexology here.
